November Wrap Up

So I read a total of 9 books this month. The books at the top are from my personal TBR and I either own or I borrowed from the library. The books at the bottom are all ARCs or review copies sent to me from publishers.

Kingdom of Ash by Sarah J. Maas 5/5 stars
Those Girls by Chevy Stevens 3.5/5 stars
The Cruel Prince by Holly Black 5/5 stars
The Winner’s Curse by Marie Rutkoski 4/5 stars
The Gilded Wolves by Roshani Chokshi  3/5 stars – DNF
Cole & Sav: Our Suprising Love Story by Cole LeBrant & Savannah LeBrant 4/5 stars
You Are by Emily Assell 5/5 stars
The Golden Sequence by Jonni Pollard 3/5 stars
How Do You Say Good Night? Illustrated by Catalina Echeverri 5/5 stars

Kingdom of Ash was by far my favorite and I took my time reading it. I really wanted to know how Maas would end everything, but I didn’t want to rush through it. I still h ave yet to write a review but it was almost everything I had hoped it would be. I finally read The Cruel Prince by Holly Black and I loved it! It is the first book I have read by the author but I plan to read more from her in the near future. And I finally started The Winner’s Curse trilogy by Marie Rutkoski and really liked the 1st book. I am excited to see here the series goes from here.

ARC wise, I was really surprised that I didn’t love The Gilded Wolves by Roshani Chokshi because I loved her first book and I adore her writing. This one actually turned into a DNF which I very rarely do, there was just so much information in the beginning that I couldn’t really get into the story because I was trying to keep all the characters straight. In the future, I am hoping to pick it up again. Cole & Sav was an interesting book even though I didn’t have much knowledge of the couple prior to reading this book. The book showed a really good example of how a Christian relationship prior to marriage should work and how to put boundaries up. It was also just interesting hearing how to they meet and fell in love. I am a sucker for a good love story!

What was your favorite book this month?
