-Sadie by Courtney Summers 4/5 stars
My favorite books this month were definitely Siege and Storm by Leigh Bardugo and Sadie by Courtney Summers. I wish I had read the Shadow and Bone series earlier, but there are just so many books and not enough time. I am currently reading Ruin and Rising and can’t wait to see how it ends. Sadie was a fantastic story, hard to read at times, but I really enjoyed it. In the nonfiction genre, I really enjoyed Sons of Cain and Architects of Death, however they both dealt with some fairly heavy topics and were both very dense with information, but very interesting.
I don’t really have a TBR for September. I am currently reading Drums of Autumn and Ruin and Rising. Once I finish those, I have just 2-3 ARCs to finish, then I will probably finally read War Storm and A Reaper at the Gates. My TBR for this summer has gotten so off track because I have had so many ARCs. While I am super grateful for these, for the time being I am not requesting anything on NetGalley unless it’s something from one of my favorite authors. I have also turned down several requests for physical ARCs, as I really want to get back to my personal TBR. I own hundreds of unread books that I have been wanting to read for quite a while. What is on everyone’s TBR for September?
