These Royals will ruin you. Easton Royal has it all: looks, money, intelligence. His goal in life is to have as much fun as possible. He never thinks about the consequences because he doesn’t have to. Until Hartley Wright appears, shaking up his easy life. She’s the one girl who’s said no, despite being attracted to him. Easton can’t figure her out and that makes her all the more irresistible. Hartley doesn’t want him. She says he needs to grow up. She might be right. Rivals. Rules. Regrets. For the first time in Easton’s life, wearing a Royal crown isn’t enough. He’s about to learn that the higher you start, the harder you fall.
I was so excited to read this book because I adored Easton in the first 3 books and I was not disappointed. I really liked hearing from his perspective and it was exactly as I imagined it would be. As in the first 3 books, Easton has this attitude and perception that the world and Aston are his playground and he can basically do whatever he wants with no consequences. One of his not so great choices introduces him to Hartley, who unlike all the other girls in his school, is not interested in him, which of course only makes Easton want her more. I don’t want to give any spoilers away, but basically Easton decides that if Hartley isn’t interested in him like that, he will try to be just friends with her.
I love Easton, he is funny and he says whatever comes to his mind, even when he shouldn’t. This book made me laugh out loud on many occasions. I really like Easton’s characters because he really is a loyal and loving guy, he just can’t seem to figure out how to act appropriately most of the time. We do get a bit more into his background in this book and we are graced by the presence of characters from the first 3 books including Ella, Val and all of the Royal brothers. The ending to this book was not what I expected and made me want to immediately read the next book, Cracked Kingdom, which is going to be released in January. Overall, I loved it and highly recommend both this series and this book.
Thank you to the publisher for sending me an ARC of this book!
