January Wrap Up

Not only did I read a lot of books this month, but I read a lot of good books this month. As I think I have posted the last two months, I have been trying really hard to catch up on ARCs and review copies. I am almost caught up now which is fantastic. I have also turned down a few requests of books that I wasn’t really interested in and didn’t feel guilty about it, which is also fantastic. So I read a total of 16 books this month, which means I am well on my way to my Goodreads goal of 175 this year. The books at the top are books from my personal TBR and the books towards the bottom are either ARCs or review copies from publishers!

Hopeless (Hopeless #1) by Colleen Hoover 5/5 stars

The Law of Moses (The Law of Moses #1) by Amy Harmon  4/5 stars

If You Feel Too Much: Thoughts on Things Founds and Lost and Hoped For by Jamie Tworkowski  4/5 stars

Love Warrior: A Memoir by Glennon Doyle Melton  3/5 stars

We Were The Lucky Ones by Georgia Hunter 4/5 stars

Making Faces by Amy Harmon  4/5 stars

Ninth City Burning by J. Patrick Black  3/5 stars

Reclaiming Hope: Lessons Learned in the Obama White House About the Future of Faith in America by Michael Wear  4/5 stars

The Bone Witch (The Bone Witch #1) by Rin Chupeco  3/5 stars

The Girl Before by J.P. Delaney  4/5 stars

Hunted by Meagan Spooner 4/5 stars

60 Days of Happiness: Discover God’s Promise of Relentless Joy by Randy Alcorn  4/5 stars

Frostblood (Frostblood Saga #1) by Elly Blake  3/5 stars

The River at Night by Erica Ferenik  4/5 stars

The Perfect Stranger by Megan Miranda  4/5 stars

So I read a lot of great ARCs this month, which makes me very happy. I often feel like I get a lot of 3 star ARC/review copies, but I read so many great ones this month. I really loved The Perfect Straner by Megan Miranda, The Girl Before by J.P Delaney, The River at Night by Erica Ferenik, Making Faces by Amy Harmon and Hunted by Meagan Spooner. Off of my personal TBR list, Hopeless by Colleen Hoover was absolutely amazing, as our all her books. I listened to my first ever audio books this month, If You Feel Too Much by Jamie Tworkowski, which was also excellent. He is the man who started a non-profit organization that I am a big supported of, To Write Love On Her Arms, look them up. I don’t think I’m a very big fan of audio books. I tried listening to a fiction one and I couldn’t do it, it just wasn’t the same as reading is to me. I think I could with only non-fiction, but I am glad I finally tried listening to one. And I discovered a new author, Amy Harmon this month, who reminds me a bit of Colleen Hoover and I really enjoyed both the books I read by her this month. If I had to pick a favorite it would be Hopeless from my personal TBR and The Girl Before from my ARC/review TBR. What was your favorite book this month?
