I read a total of 17 books this month; 4 e-books, 5 physical books and 8 arcs/review copies. Like I have said many times before, I LOVE getting advanced reading copies and review copies from both authors and publishers, but I always feel like I need to get them read as soon as possible. I did get pretty caught up this month. I know that some of the other book bloggers I know through Goodreads and Bookstagram have started turning down ARCs and review copies that they truly aren’t excited about. I am fairly new to the book blogging scene (I have been posting reviews on Goodreads for the last several years but only started by Bookstagram/Twitter/Blog in March of this year) so I feel that I am still new enough that I need to accept all books that are offered to me. And I am very grateful for all the publishers and authors that reach out to me offering me books, don’t get me wrong, it is a privilege and I have had the opportunity to read books in genres that I normally wouldn’t. But soon, I think I am going to have to be slightly more selective, as my own TBR list is extremely long. And if you follow my blog or Instragam, you know I rarely end up following the TBR I set for myself for the month. I read some fantastic books this month and would recommend several of them, if you haven’t already read them.
The top section are books I own/borrowed from the library and the bottom section are advanced reading copies or review copies sent to me from publishers or authors!

I have to say that It Ends With Us was my favorite book this month and had been one of my very anticipated releases for the month of August. This is such an important book and by far Colleen Hoover’s best work thus far. Even if you are not a fan of her previous work, I highly, highly urge you to read this book. I also really loved This Savage Song as it was so different from anything I have previously read. I absolutely loved it! And of course, Six of Crows was wonderful as well. I know that I am a bit behind on most of the YA fantasy books, it is a genre that I just recently got into. But I had heard such great reviews for Six of Crows so I wanted to make sure to read it before Crooked Kingdom is released this month, which I promptly pre-ordered after finishing it. I also am a Stephen King fan and finally read IT this month, which is one of King’s very well know books and really enjoyed that. As I am sure you can sell, I read almost every genre. I love Stephen King and I love romance books, and just about everything in between. Which I personally think is great! What was your favorite read in the month of August? Any recommendations? Happy reading!
